Building one of the earliest digital education ecosystems for private schools in Sudan.
Project Story
During the early 2010s, many private schools in Sudan still relied on paper files, printed reports, handwritten attendance sheets, and manual communication between school staff and parents. Managing academic operations was time-consuming, inefficient, and difficult to scale.
To address these challenges, I designed and developed Plusxe School ERP — a comprehensive web-based education management platform connecting administrators, teachers, students, and parents through a centralized digital system.
The platform digitized academic management, attendance, examinations, communication, reporting, website management, and numerous daily school operations. Development continued for several years, with a complete Version 2 redesign initiated before the project concluded in 2018.
Project Overview
Plusxe School ERP is a comprehensive web-based education management platform designed to digitize every aspect of private school operations. The system connected school administrators, teachers, students, and parents through dedicated portals, replacing paper-based workflows with a centralized digital ecosystem.
The platform included academic management, attendance tracking, examination planning, grading, messaging, reporting, school website management, and many other operational modules. Developed years before cloud-based education ecosystems became common in the region, it represented one of the earliest large-scale digital education platforms for private schools in Sudan.
Challenge
Private schools managed student records, attendance, examinations, parent communication, and administrative operations almost entirely through paper-based processes. Schools needed a practical digital platform capable of simplifying everyday operations while remaining accessible to administrators, teachers, students, and parents.
Solution
Designed and developed a complete enterprise-grade School ERP platform featuring dedicated portals for administrators, teachers, students, and parents. The system centralized academic management, attendance tracking, examinations, messaging, reporting, website management, and numerous operational workflows into one integrated solution.
Impact
The platform significantly reduced paperwork, streamlined school administration, improved communication between all stakeholders, and introduced digital education management to schools years before cloud-based education ecosystems became common across the region.
