Making Academic Research Easier to Explore Through Interactive Digital Publishing
Project Story
In 2004, before cloud-based document libraries and modern digital publishing platforms became common, the ITU Textile Engineering Congress required a better way to distribute hundreds of academic papers and conference publications.
Instead of delivering participants a collection of PDF folders, I designed and developed an interactive digital publication system that transformed conference content into a searchable, application-style experience. Attendees could quickly browse research, navigate categories, and access publications through an intuitive interface designed around usability rather than file management.
The project demonstrated how thoughtful information architecture and user experience design could make academic knowledge significantly easier to discover, explore, and use.
Project Overview
